Donations for Mobilecare 2013

Dear all,

We would like to ask for donations for the upcoming 2013 Mobile Health Care mission in August.  Many of you donated in the past, have expressed an interest to donate, or can find donors for medications and supplies.  Below is the list of items that we need.

1. Medications with expiration date after August 31, 2013. (Donation needed by May 18)
2. Medical supplies - on going collection
3. Gently used or new small stuffed animals - on going collection

The donations can be dropped off at SAP-VN's office most Saturday afternoons

2013 Swap Meet Fundraiser Final Update

Hi everyone,

We had a very successful and fun Swap Meet Fundraiser this past Saturday 4/13/13.  We raised $1544.05 from the sale that will go towards our Mobile Care Mission this summer.  I just wanted to thank everyone who came out on Friday to help sort through all the donation and especially to those who sacrificed their Saturday morning to wake up at 4-5 AM to help set up at the Swap Meet.  You are all so awesome!!!  I also wanted to highlight some of our volunteers' special talents and dedication:

A huge thank you to the core volunteers - a.Quang, c.Lan, c.Huong, and c.Nhan for all of the time and effort they put in from start to finish.  We couldn't have made as much money as we did without Co Vinh's generous donation of her enticing supply of "Victoria Secret"undergarments.  And we couldn't have sold as much of the undergarments as we did if it weren't for the talents of Jonathan and Lam who sold those things like they've been doing it their whole lives.  And a special thanks to some swap meet first timers - a.Linh, a.Thinh, a.Khanh, and Ha (not quite a first timer) - who did an awesome job selling.

We also received a generous donation of $200 from d.My Linh from Northern Cal to support us in spirit because she couldn't be here to help with the fundraiser.  And not to be outdone, Nghia generously donated $0.95 cents to round out our proceeds, bringing the total to a nice even number of $1745.00.

Thank you everyone for pitching in - from all who donated goods and to all who pitched in and lent a hand.  I hope you had as fun as I did.
