2020 Scholarship Awards

This is the second year SAP-VN establishes scholarships, with the intention to recognize, develop, and encourage students to continue to demonstrate compassion and kindness through their community service and to volunteer for SAP-VN.

The Compassion Scholarships were also in memory of our board members, chị Long Trâm-Anh, anh Võ Văn Đạt, and anh Huỳnh Phước Đương.

We were very pleased to receive a number of exceptional applicants, which made it a very challenging task for the selection committees. All applicants have demonstrated good leadership, impressive lists of community service, and extraordinary compassion for others.

And it is with great pleasure that we introduce to you our 2020 Compassion Scholarship winners:

Mobile Care Scholarship:

  1. Diane Dinh: Rising Senior from La Quinta HS in Westminster
    Diane is a volunteer and officer of several honor societies and service clubs in her school and the community. She has logged over 200 community service hours by volunteering in Soup Kitchens, Fountain Valley Hospital, Kiwanis Club, HOSA, to name a few. We are proud to name Diane Dinh one of the SAP-VN 2020 Compassion Scholarship Winner.
  2. Kristina Vu: Rising Senior from La Quinta HS
    Kristina is a talented and compassionate young lady who volunteers at a variety of clubs and organizations such as the American Heart Association, Navy Sea Cadet corps, School Honor societies, and Ca Dao Vietnamese School. Besides her diverse interests and volunteer spirit, Kristina demonstrates compassion through her willingness to put others first in her words as well as her actions. SAP-VN is proud to recognize Kristina Vu as one of the 2020 Compassionate Scholarship winner.
  3. Tiffany Dinh: Class of 2020 graduate from Westminster HS
    Tiffany is another tireless and selfless young lady who is active not only in her school honor societies, but also in the community. She is a volunteer for several Cancer Societies, hospitals, as well as the Vice President of the local UNICEF chapter. Tiffany strikes the selection committee as someone who can take initiative and see where help is needed and fulfills that need without being told. SAP-VN would like to recognize Tiffany Dinh as one of its 2020 Compassion Scholarship Winners.
  4. Vivian Khieu: Class of 2020 graduate from Del Norte HS in San Diego
    She is a long-time compassionate volunteer at the local memory care center for the elderlies with dementia. Vivian also helps at hospitals, Sylvan Learning Center, as well as being the founder and President of the Alzheimer Alliance Club. Vivian’s dedication and commitment to helping those less fortunate, whether mentally or physically is one of the reasons SAP-VN is proud to name her a 2020 Compassion Scholarship winner.

2019 Scholarship Awards

This is the first year SAP-VN establishes Mobile Care and Compassion scholarships, with the intention to recognize, develop, and encourage students to continue to demonstrate compassion through their community service and to volunteer for SAP-VN.

The Compassion Scholarships were also in memory of our board members, chị Long Trâm-Anh, anh Võ Văn Đạt, and anh Huỳnh Phước Đương.
