SAP-VN Compassion Scholarship
APPLY: 2019-2020 Compassion Scholarship
SAP-VN is pleased to announce our annual Compassion Scholarship, which will be awarded to three Vietnamese high-school seniors or juniors who have demonstrated extraordinary compassion for others and the community. This scholarship is intended to encourage students to continue their community service and to volunteer for SAP-VN. Each recipient will receive $500 and a flexible, on-site or remote, 20-hour summer unpaid internship with SAP-VN.
Requirements:
- Applicant must be of Vietnamese ancestry and residing in the US
- Current high-school senior or junior
- Essay of up to 400 words about how you have demonstrated compassion
- Unweighted GPA of 3.0 and above
- Letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or community leader, to be sent to compassion-scholarship@sap-vn.org
Not eligible to apply:
- Past recipients of SAP-VN scholarships
- Immediate family members of SAP-VN Board of Directors or Scholarship Selection Committee members
